Me

Who am I?

My name is David, I am 33 years old, and live in a small town called Hamar in Norway (Scandinavia - Europe). I have been collecting Mötley Crüe stuff since 2003.

I first discovered Mötley back in '89. Being 14, and heavily into AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses and Poison, Mötley Crüe came to me as a giant shock. Dr. Feelgood was just released, and The Crüe had just had a gig in Oslo, and I saw 'Kickstart My Heart' at some music show. I remember a clip of Nikki saying "We're on the top - and we're gonna stay there!". They were the coolest guys I had ever seen. And their music kicked ass!

I ran off and bought Dr. Feelgood. Happily my birthday was just around the corner, and with the money I got, I bought "Theatre Of Pain" on vinyl. I still got that album (link). Then "Girls, Girls, Girls", "Shout At The Devil" - and after saving up money for a long time; "Too Fast For Love".

Mötley followed me through my teen ages. Then Vince was kicked out/quit, and I lost interest. The grunge was in, and Nirvana came smashing through the window. I got into grunge and punk. But then, in '97, a news article caught my eyes: "Vince Neil back in Mötley Crüe". So was I.

I started collecting in 2003, and bought everything I could get my hands on. That means I got plenty of stash hidden in closets and in the garage. I have decided to mainly focus on CDs, vinyl, cassettes, DVDs and VHS's. I got a lot of stuff I am planning on showing off on this site. I also got a lot of stuff I from time to time auction off on Ebay.

Keeping this site up-to-date is almost impossible, but some day I hope to have photographed all of my shit and put it here.

About this site The domain is bought and hosted by GoDaddy.com. The content management publishing system is the AJFork of CuteNews, modified to fit my needs by myself. The design is done with the now non-exisiting Macromedia Fireworks and the still-existing, excellent previously Macromedia Dreamweaver, built with tables and CSS. The drop down menu is stolen from HTMLDog, Suckerfish dropdowns.
